August 9th, 2019 by

Dating these days doesn’t seem to require any amount of thought or effort, sadly being reduced to swiping left. However, for those of you that are looking to take your date somewhere special, these locations can’t be beaten. Whether on a first date or celebrating your wedding anniversary, let the team here are a few places that we think you may enjoy in Mesa, AZ.

Desert Belle Cruises

The Desert Belle Cruise will offer you and your date a great new experience taking you around Mesa’s Saguaro Lake.  There are three options, including a 90-minute narrated tour, a live music experience, and a wine cruise. You will not only be able to see the beauty that Arizona has to offer, but also the amazing canyon walls and wildlife.  All three offer beverages, including beer and wine, available for purchase during the excursion.

Located at 14011 N. Bush Hwy., all three cruises offer tickets starting at just $23 a person. The narration cruise runs daily, the wine cruise leaves Wednesdays at 6 p.m., and the live music cruise operates Saturdays and Sundays at 6 p.m.

Imagine 3D Mini Golf

Mini golf is a fantastic option for a first date. Imagine 3D Mini Golf takes this timeless classic and adds an impressive twist. The entire building is smothered in black light, making the course itself and all the aesthetics very immersive. Imagine takes mini golf to the next level by adding 3D obstacles and scenery.

Located at 785 W. Warner Rd. #107 in Gilbert, Imagine 3D Mini Golf is open Monday through Thursday from noon – 9 p.m., Friday from noon to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sanctum of Horror

The Sanctum of Horror is a haunted house that is continually being updated and scaring the pants off of its patrons. The actors are compelling, and the house itself seems to surround you. This is not a date night adventure for the faint of heart, but for those who don’t mind a little scare, this venue will not disappoint.

Located at Superstition Springs Center at 6555 E. Southern Ave. in Mesa, Sanctum of Horror opens September 27 for the 2019 season. Visit their website for more information on dates and times.

The Farm at South Mountain

Featuring amazing multiple-course meals, comfortable indoor seating, and outdoor seating with beautiful views, this list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning The Farm at South Mountain. The location offers a large area to walk around in so that you and your date can take in the scenery. It is truly a hidden gem and far enough away from the local neighborhoods that it feels serene and isolated. The best part of The Farm is that it lives up to its name by having several farm animals on the grounds for patrons to visit. If you go here, your date will be eating out of your hands almost as much as the animals will be.

Located at 6106 S. 32nd St. in Phoenix, The Farm at South Mountain is closed for much of the summer opening again in September. Visit their website for details.
