Bouquet of red rosesValentine’s Day is an excellent opportunity to spend time with loved ones. Whether you are looking for a romantic night out or just a fun evening with friends, there are plenty of places you can visit on Valentine’s Day.

Usery Mountain Regional Park

For an outdoor adventure on Valentine’s Day, you may want to visit Usery Mountain Regional Park. The park offers opportunities for archery, biking, camping, hiking, and horseback riding. There are also places for picnicking. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, but if you decide to do something on the weekend, the hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday. You may also want to check out the Nature Center, which is open Sunday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Paint Nite

Another fun option you may want to explore on Valentine’s Day is a Paint Nite. You can spend a fun evening out painting a picture and having some drinks and snacks with friends or your partner. Most paint nights take place in a bar or pub, so you can enjoy a pub setting while accessing your creative side and making a masterpiece.

There are a wide variety of events to choose from that take place on Valentine’s Day or the days before and after. Partner painting is an option that allows you to create one half of a complete painting on two different canvases. You should pre-purchase tickets before going to ensure a spot to the event you choose. You can visit the Paint Nite website to see what paintings are available in your area. There are also plant night options that let you make a beautiful flower arrangement instead of painting a canvas.

Silver Star Theater

If you would like to have dinner and a show on Valentine’s Day, you can check out the Valentine’s Day special at the Silver Star. Adult tickets for the show are $39 per person and includes a Grand Buffet dinner with a salad bar and dessert, as well as a performance by the Rhythm Cats throughout the evening.  The Valentine’s Day Show is at 11:30 a.m. or 5:30 pm. If you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day on a different evening, you can catch shows like Legends of Country Music, ’70s Rock ‘n Roll, Malt Shop Oldies, and a Variety Show Spectacular.

Buffet menu items offered during the show include a variety of salad options, including spinach, Caesar, garden, and potato salad. Entrees available include roasted chicken, pork, baby back ribs, as well as pot roast. There is also a full bar service available. For more information about the shows, and to book your tickets online, you can visit the Silver Star website.

These are just three of many Valentine’s Day options you can do in Mesa. Other ideas could include going out to a nice restaurant, going to a spa, or visiting a B&B. Whatever you decide to do, the important thing is that you have fun with the people you love.
